Red Opal - Butterfly #9 Chrome Powder

You will receive a small jar with chrome powder inside a metallic and clear plastic pouch with an applicator.
Bling Gel products that can be used with chromes are also offered in this listing.

Please note: Chromes are not dip powders. They are pigments that when applied over gel polish form a unique beautiful shiny surface. They need to be applied over a UV/LED Gel Base Coat & Top Coat, or over a Gel Base Coat & Color Gel. A little goes a long way. Follow Bling Facebook for recorded LIVEs showing application. See Below for application instructions using Bling Gels. If using other brand gels, cure times and final finishes may vary.

Chrome Instructions (using Bling Gels):
1. Prep nails as you would usually do.
2. Apply Bling gel base coat and cure 60 seconds.
3. Apply Bling Chrome Mirror Top Coat & Cure 20-60 seconds. The length of time curing is dependent on the strength of your nail lamp. for lamps between 96 and 150 Watts, cure 60 seconds. If your lamp is higher wattage than 150, decrease your cure time as wattage goes up. This will be a trial & error for your individual lamp. For example with a 268 watt lamp, cure time is about 10-15 seconds for a mirror finish.

Shorter cure times for lower wattage lamps will create a velvet appearance. Flash cure 10 seconds (will still be tacky) for a velvety appearance. Select anywhere in-between flash cure of 10 seconds and full cure of 60 seconds for custom effects. You can try this out before hand on swatches.
4. Use the applicator to apply small amounts of chrome powder and rub the powder gently into the nail. this can be repeated until the desired effect is accomplished.
6. Do a final cure if initial cure was less than full 60 seconds.
7. Apply a layer of Bling Rubber Base Coat and cure 60 seconds. Then apply a layer of any of Bling's Top Coat curing for 60 Seconds.
