Composition Notes
· Multi-component acrylate-based UV/LED polymerizable gel system.
· Hazard classification is based on the mixture as supplied (uncured state).
· Upon UV/LED exposure, the product undergoes polymerization into a solid polymer film.
· Cosmetic pigments are dispersed in a polymer matrix and are not expected to present inhalation hazards under normal use.
· Exact formulation varies by shade, opacity, and effect variant but remains within the same chemical hazard profile.
SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
Skin Contact: Wash immediately with soap and water. If a skin rash or allergic reaction develops, seek medical advice/attention.
Eye Contact: Rinse cautiously with water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Seek medical attention if symptoms occur.
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms occur.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Contact poison control center.
SECTION 5 - FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Suitable Extinguishing Media: CO₂, dry chemical, foam
Unsuitable Media: Water jet (may spread burning material)
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Carbon oxides, phosphorus oxides, silicon oxides, and irritating organic vapors.
Firefighter Protection: Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) required
SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
· Avoid skin and eye contact.
· Prevent entry into drains or waterways.
· Absorb with inert material (sand, vermiculite).
· Collect in sealed container for disposal.
· Clean residual material using a detergent solution.
SECTION 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling:
· Avoid skin contact.
· Avoid repeated skin contact with uncured product to minimize the potential for skin sensitization.
· Wear nitrile gloves and eye protection.
· Wash exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
· Avoid exposure to natural sunlight, UV lamps, and strong artificial light prior to use.
· Use with adequate ventilation
· Keep away from food, beverages, and animal feed
· Do not ingest
Storage:
· Store 5–25°C (41–77°F)
· Keep containers tightly closed
· Protect from UV light, heat, and direct sunlight
· Do not freeze
SECTION 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering Controls:
· Provide local exhaust dust ventilation at nail workstations (e.g., nail dust collectors).
· General dilution ventilation is acceptable for incidental exposure during professional application.
· Use adequate local exhaust ventilation where repeated professional use occurs.
· Follow manufacturer instructions for UV/LED curing equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
· Nitrile or neoprene gloves, 4-8 mil thickness.
· Inspect gloves before each use and replace immediately if degraded, torn, or contaminated.
· Safety glasses or chemical goggles
· Protective clothing for prolonged exposure
Environmental Controls:
· Use engineering controls to prevent product from reaching drains, sewers, or the environment.
